Private sessions

Children, Youth + Adults

Art is Alive offers 1:1 sessions online for those that are socially isolating and prefer an online option. We are all feeling the impact of COVID-19, and it is so critically important for us to make sure we support our mental health during this intense period of time. What are you doing to stay grounded, stay resilient and stay empowered while you ‘stay home’ ? Isolation can be crippling at times, and at other times it can provide the opportunity to connect deeply with our inner being, re-prioritise our lives and foster new growth.

How does art therapy work online? You let me know what art materials you have access to in your home, and we go from there. It is often mistakenly thought that art therapy is all about paint and getting messy - but that’s not true! It is possible to use even just a pen and paper, or sewing materials, or to forage for things in your backyard… we can be resourceful!

Art is Alive also offers 1:1 sessions in-person. We are mobile, so this is normally is in the form of home visits. We are currently taking on NDIS clients, and would love to hear from you if you are interested in how art therapy can help you. Here’s just a few of the benefits that art therapy can bring to your life:

  • Increased sense of self-empowerment

  • Increased sense of self-care and self-awareness

  • Improved creativity and self-esteem

  • Reduced stress and anxiety

  • Reduced depression and fatigue

  • Improved interpersonal skills

  • Enhanced mind-body connection

  • Increased sense of meaning and purpose.
